Cottages more expensive in Northern Saskatchewan: report

Lakefront property in northern Saskatchewan will cost you about $120,000 more than a similar vacation spot in the Regina area.

A new report released by real estate company Royal LePage points to a stark price differences for cottages in the Regina area when compared to northern Saskatchewan. 

Around Regina, a waterfront recreational property costs an average of $300,000 right now, but in northern communities including Christopher and Candle Lakes that number jumps to $420,000. 

By comparison, inland cottage properties around Regina go for an average of $130,000.

Not surprisingly, the most expensive lakefront property is located in Alberta. Properties in Canmore and Sylvan Lake will set you back $1 million or more.
