Police are searching for a man charged with first-degree murder after someone was found dead on Little Pine First Nation Monday night.

RCMP were called to a house on the reserve in west-central Saskatchewan just before midnight after receiving a report a gun had been fired inside of a home.

When they arrived, they found two injured adults.

One was pronounced dead a short time later, while the other was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police haven't identified the person who died.

They're now searching for Sheldon Thunderblanket, 40, whom police believe is armed and dangerous.

He is described as being five feet, six inches tall, weighs 209 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Police believe he could be on the Sweetgrass First Nation.

Thunderblanket is also charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, breach of undertaking and mischief.

They're telling people that if they see Thunderblanket, they should call 911 and not approach him.
