While some potash companies in Saskatchewan are curbing production or set to layoff employees, another company is looking to hire in the province.

K+S is holding a two-day job fair in Regina.

"We have a lot of jobs to fill, but we are confident that we will find the skilled people we're looking for," Maryann Deutscher, senior manager of human resources said in a release.

The company is looking mostly for tradespeople and operators to work in the production and maintenance areas at the Legacy site near Moose Jaw.

The job fair began Thursday (9 a.m. to 8 p.m.) and continues Friday (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) at the Cornwall Centre.

The global potash market has seen decreased demand and low prices.
