This video was shot by Kandis Riese on Dec. 1, just before sunset on Lac la Ronge.

Arguably, the two things that Saskatchewan is most known for are its beautiful boundless skies and its endless ability to produce NHL players because of its love of hockey.

Kandis Riese captured both this evening on Lac la Ronge, which is more than 350 kilometers north of Saskatoon.

She shot photos and a video of the sport at its purest — a pair of siblings skating on a lake, passing a puck back and forth as the sun set in the background. It's the stuff Canadian Tire commercials are made of.

On her Facebook page she wrote, "Happy December 1st. It was delightful to see Joseph and his sister Sierra under the watchful eye of their mother Rosie while on the ice of Lac la Ronge just before sunset."
