La Loche, Sask., shootings: Accused teen in court on Monday
Youth is charged with 4 counts of 1st-degree murder, 7 counts of attempted murder
The teenager charged in connection with the shooting deaths of four people in La Loche, Sask., on Friday will make his first appearance in court on Monday, the RCMP said Sunday.
The accused, 17, has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and seven counts of attempted murder. He also faces one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
His name can't be published because he is under 18 and covered by provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The youth, who is from the northern Saskatchewan community, is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Meadow Lake provincial court, about 290 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon, at 9:30 a.m. CT.
RCMP said there is a possibility his first appearance will be delayed until 1 p.m. CT.
Because the matter is now before the courts, the RCMP said, they will not be issuing any more statements.
The victims have been identified as teacher's assistant Marie Janvier, 21, teacher Adam Wood, 35, and brothers Dayne and Drayden Fontaine, aged 17 and 13 respectively.
Seven other victims were taken to the local health centre for treatment and four were transported to Saskatoon for further care.
