Man dresses as RCMP officer, steals vehicle

A Prince Albert man has been arrested after allegedly dressing up as an RCMP officer and stealing a vehicle from a dealership under the pretext of taking it for a test drive on Monday afternoon.

A Prince Albert man has been arrested after allegedly dressing up as an RCMP officer and stealing a vehicle from a dealership under the pretext of taking it for a test drive on Monday afternoon.

When the 21-year-old failed to return, the automobile dealer, located on the south side of Prince Albert, contacted police around 3:30 p.m. CST.

The suspect was arrested a short time later and the vehicle was returned undamaged.

The man has been accused of impersonating a police officer, theft of a motor vehicle, theft under $5,000 and breach of probation.
