Meet 5 more Future 40 winners

CBC Saskatchewan is unveiling this year's winners all week on radio, TV and online.

So far, 15 Future 40 winners have been revealed

All week CBC Saskatchewan will be revealing the Future 40 winners on TV, radio and our website.

Here are five more members of our Future 40 for 2015.

Heather Morrison

An award-winning and critically-acclaimed actress, Heather has worked with nearly every professional theatre company in Saskatchewan. Heather’s dedication to a safe learning environment that teaches both acting skills and personal development has led her to work with a number of at-risk and minority groups including Family Services, Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company, International Women of Saskatoon and Camp fYrefly

Brad Bellegarde

Brad Bellegarde aka InfoRed has rocked the microphone across Turtle Island and has been a featured artist at events such as Aboriginal Music Week in Manitoba, APTN’s Aboriginal Day Live and Vancouver’s Olympic Games celebrations. Brad is a proud Nakota/Cree member of the Little Black Bear First Nation who calls Regina home. 

Lorraine Forster

Lorriane is a veterinarian, but has also been recognized by the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce ABEX Awards in Marketing and Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and named a Humboldt & District Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneur of the Year and a W. Brett Wilson Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence- Business Planning Competition Top 10. She has also been an ATHENA Young Professionals Award Nominee, received a Community Relations Award at Western College of Veterinary Medicine, and earned first place in the Venture Forward Business Planning Competition as well as the My Future Is Here Business Planning Competition.

Derek Lothian

At only 27 years of age, Derek Lothian of Saskatoon currently serves as Vice President of Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME), Canada’s largest and longest-standing trade and industry association. But while his portfolio has been largely national in scope, his passion for the province is evident. In 2013, Lothian founded, and continues to serve as Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Manufacturing Council.

Jebunnessa Chapola

Jebunnessa Chapola is a PhD student in Women’s, Gender and Sexualities Studies at the University of Saskatchewan. She is a feminist researcher, Bangla cultural activist, musical performer, radio host and mother of two young daughters. Jebunnessa is dedicated to helping immigrants, visible minorities, and Indigenous communities’ cultures in Saskatoon and to creating awareness about barriers to achieving gender, social and environmental justice.
