Movie director Kevin Smith causing stir in Saskatchewan
Clerks director scouting locations for his next film: Moose Jaws
Movie director and geek icon Kevin Smith is in Saskatchewan and he's ready for his closeup.
He's been in Moose Jaw and Regina scouting locations this week and took time to post a selfie of himself in front of a Tim Horton's coffee shop.
Smith, who also acts, writes comic books and has a reality TV show, told his Instagram followers he's making a movie titled Moose Jaws, about a killer moose.
"Oh, Canada — after 22 years of trying, I finally get to make one of my movies deep inside of you!" Smith wrote. "With a bloodthirsty Bullwinkle no less!"
Smith, who directed Clerks, Dogma and a number of other films, says he plans to being shooting Moose Jaws in July.
Later in the day Wednesday, he stopped by Bushwakker Brewpub in Regina, where he posed for photos with the staff.
