Police searching for driver who fired at officer near Osler
Black Cadillac CTS had no licence plate
RCMP are looking for a black Cadillac after an unidentified man fired at an officer on Highway 11 near Osler, Sask.
The incident began shortly before 4 a.m. CST when an officer saw the vehicle parked with no lights on. The officer pulled over and turned on their emergency lights.
Police allege the driver exited the vehicle and fired at the officer, who then returned fire.
The officer was not injured.
The man got back in the car, fled toward Saskatoon, and a short pursuit began. Police are now searching for a black Cadillac CTS without a licence plate, whose driver is described only as a black man with a thin build.
The Saskatoon Police Service has been notified and are searching for the vehicle.
People are warned not to approach vehicles matching the description as the person or people involved are considered dangerous.
Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who was travelling on Highway 11 between Rosthern and Saskatoon on Friday from 3-5 a.m.
Highway 11 has reopened after being shut down while police investigated the scene Friday morning.
