RCMP are asked to investigate the death of Brandon Travis Daniels, 19, in Saskatoon police custody.

RCMP officers have been tapped to investigate the death of a young man in Saskatoon police custody.

Brandon Travis Daniels, 19, was arrested Friday just after 6:30 p.m., when police responded to a complaint "regarding possible drunkenness," a police spokeswoman said Sunday.

Provincial justice officials have asked the RCMP to investigate the circumstances surrounding Daniels' death.
