The RCMP are reviewing the case of a missing Estevan girl, asking the public to come forward with any new information.

It was six years ago Friday that Courtney Struble, aged 13 at the time, failed to return home in Estevan, 200 kilometers southeast of Regina.

For Joy Struble, it's not just a six-year-old missing person case — it's 2190 days without her daughter, who was over at a friend's house for a movie on July 9, 2004, and never came home.

Courtney would be 19 now.

Estevan police have asked RCMP to reopen the case. The Mounties are reviewing the material from the earlier investigation, and plan to re-interview witnesses. Police said they received many tips over the past few years and now the RCMP's Historical Cases Unit will investigate all new ones.

Police have asked anyone with information to contact RCMP, Estevan police, or Crime Stoppers.

Joy Struble said no one is giving up hope but the family is looking for closure - even if it means bad news.

"We need to know. It's been a long time and we just need a conclusion to begin the rest of our lives."
