Three senior administration staff members have left the City of Regina.

This comes just as the city manager goes on leave.

In an email, a city spokesperson confirmed chief of staff Ly Pham, executive assistant to the city manager Christine Pirlot, and director of Indigenous relations and community development Audra Young are "no longer with the City of Regina." The city would not explain why.

In a special council meeting Wednesday morning, Mayor Chad Bachynski confirmed city manager Niki Anderson is now on leave, calling it a "personal matter." It's not clear if or when she'll return.

City clerk Jim Nicol will be in the position until further notice.
