Regina police used a Taser on a man and charged him with a weapons offence after he allegedly pulled out a knife and made threats.
The incident happened shortly after 11 p.m. CST Wednesday in the 2100 block of Cornwall St.
Bystanders told police the man was inside a building and acting in a threatening manner.
Police say they tried to negotiate with the man, but he challenged them with the knife visible, so they shot him with the Taser, also known as a conducted electrical weapon.
He was checked out by an ambulance crew before being taken to police cells.

It's the second time in a week police have used a Taser on a suspect.
