Regina Symphony Orchestra bringing healing power of music to care homes

The Regina Symphony Orchestra is bringing music to people's ears at several care homes and rehabilitation centres in Regina this month.
The orchestra's chamber players are involved in a new outreach program designed to bring people the healing power of live music.
On Monday, Jan. 11, musicians are scheduled to perform at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre. There are three more performances on the schedule:
- Jan. 7: Qu'Appelle House at 2 p.m.
- Jan. 7: Regina Lutheran Home at 7:30 p.m.
- Jan. 8: William Booth Care Home at 1:30 p.m.
RSO Executive Director Tanya Derksen said the goal of the program is to bring wellness to those who listen.
