Roughriders sign quarterback Kevin Glenn
Move follows departure of Darian Durant earlier this month
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed quarterback Kevin Glenn — again.
The veteran pivot is coming to a team in dire need of a QB after the recent departure of Darian Durant.
It will be the third stint with the Green and White for Glenn, 37.
He entered the CFL with the Riders in 2001. He returned in 2015.
In all, he has played 56 games with the team, starting in 19 of them.
Last season, Glenn played for the Montreal Alouettes before being acquired by Winnipeg on Sept. 12.
"Bringing Kevin in will provide a veteran presence at quarterback while increasing the level of internal competition," Riders head coach and general manager Chris Jones said in a news release.
"Whether he is on the field or not, Kevin will have a positive impact on our group. He is a proven leader and talented player that we expect to come in and compete with the other quarterbacks for the starting position."
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
