Saskatchewan's Jess Moskaluke wins female artist of the year at the CCMAs

A great year for Jess Moskaluke just got better as she won female artist of the year at the Canadian Country Music Awards in Halifax tonight.

Country artist from Langenburg had a huge hit with Cheap Wine & Cigarettes

A great year for Jess Moskaluke became even better as she won female artist of the year at the Canadian Country Music Awards in Halifax. 

"Who I really, really want to thank are the fans because this year has been entirely because of you guys," Moskaluke said when accepting her award. 

"And you have no idea what this means to me as a small town Saskatchewan girl who has wanted to do this her whole entire life."

Moskaluke, originally from Langenburg, Sask. was also nominated for album of the year and single of the year for her popular hit Cheap Wine & Cigarettes.

Moskaluke's album Light Up The Night lost out to Lifted by Dallas Smith. Male artist of the year went to Gord Bamford.
