Saskatoon police arrest man in connection with homicide of 53-year-old woman
Police also investigating shooting of 13-year-old boy

A man is in custody in connection with the killing of a 53-year-old woman in Saskatoon.
Police were called to a bungalow at 701 Weldon Ave. at around 1:25 a.m. CST on Monday after reports of a disturbance, according to a news release.
"When officers arrived, they located a 53-year-old woman deceased. A 32-year-old male was arrested at the scene," the release said.
Police did not announce any charges against the man.
The property remained ringed with yellow police tape Monday morning as investigators came and went from the house. Police did not yet say the charge that the suspect is facing.

Officers are also investigating a shooting that happened on Saturday.
In a news release, they said that a 13-year-old boy was dropped off at the St. Paul's Hospital emergency department at 4:50 a.m. CST with a gunshot wound. The injury is described as serious.
Police did not say whether they had suspects, but did say they believed the teen was shot several blocks from the hospital, somewhere on the 400 block of Avenue W South. Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
Finally, a 26-year-old man is charged with aggravated assault in connection with a stabbing Saturday in an apartment building on the 500 block of Avenue X South.
A 46-year-old is expected to recover. The suspect was arrested in the building.
