A fan favourite on social media, there are plenty of upset fans of Canadian actress Tatiana Maslany today following her Emmy Award loss in L.A.

Regina's Tatiana Maslany didn't get the early birthday gift that fans had hoped for at the 67th Emmy Awards on Sunday from Los Angeles.

Maslany was nominated for outstanding lead actress in a drama series. The 29-year-old plays several characters in the TV show Orphan Black, which has completed three seasons.

How to Get Away with Murder actress Viola Davis edged out Maslany for the Emmy, becoming the first black woman to win the award in that category.

This likely isn't the last major award nomination for Maslany. The young actress turns 30 on Tuesday.
