Athletes with connections to Saskatchewan will be chasing their dreams as they head to Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games that begin July 26.

Tight bond between Saskatoon divers and coach helps all 3 live out their Olympic dreams
Margo Erlam and her teammate Rylan Wiens will both be heading to the Summer Olympics in Paris with Mary Carroll as their diving coach. The three share not only the love of their sport, but a tight-knit bond. Read more.
Erlam is on the cusp of achieving a childhood dream of competing in the Olympics, so it's hard to imagine that just six years ago she was ready to give up the sport of diving altogether.

Carroll has watched Wiens grow up from a "hyperactive" little kid to a focused and disciplined diver.
"His parents have to be proud. I'm proud. We kind of all helped him in that," she said.

Hurdler qualifies for first Olympics at 31
Coming home to Saskatoon helped 31-year-old Michelle Harrison qualify for her first Olympics. She will be joined by fellow hurdler Savannah Sutherland and pole vaulter Anicka Newell as athletes with ties to Saskatchewan competing in track and field events. Read more.

Savannah Sutherland's Olympic aspirations started while watching the track and field events at 2016 Rio Games on TV at her home in Borden, Sask.
Fast forward eight years, and Sutherland is now the Canadian record-holder in the indoor and outdoor 400-metre hurdles. She is set to make her Olympic debut at 20 years old.

Despite being born and raised in Texas, Anicka Newell is choosing to represent Canada in the pole vault at the Paris Olympics. That's because she feels a deep connection to Saskatoon, where she spent summers with her mom's side of the family.
