Vianne Timmons receives third term as U of R president
Timmons' third term will start July 2018
A familiar face will be overseeing operations at the University of Regina until 2023.
Dr. Vianne Timmons was reappointed as the president and vice-chancellor of the U of R for a third term.
She has held the positions since 2008.
The third term will be five-years in length.
Daniel Kwochka, chair of the board of directors, praised Timmons' work in a news release on Wednesday.
"Student enrolment continues to increase, and we are now serving a record number of students – nearly 15,000. Retention is also on the rise. Further to that, our campus is becoming increasingly diverse as more international and Aboriginal students enroll and we continue to expand student services, program options, and physical space on campus," said Kwochka.
Her third term will begin July 1, 2018.
