The term "cultural appropriation" has jumped from academia to the mainstream. But what's right and what's wrong when it comes to using the clothing, art, artifacts, spiritual practices or ideas of other cultures?
Is cultural appropriation ever OK?
Join CBC Host Sheila Coles as well as special guests Eagle Feather News Editor John Lagimodiere and the University of Saskatchewan's Candace Wasacase-Lafferty for a discussion on cultural appropriation as we navigate the contentious topic.
You will hear from a diverse panel, including a hip hop artist, a powwow singer, an art consultant and a professor, as well as those who have delivered and felt the outrage over appropriation.
You'll have opportunities to ask questions and/or share your own views.
