COVID-19 outbreaks declared at two Saskatoon elementary schools
One class each in isolation at École Forest Grove School, North Park Wilson School
The Saskatchewan Health Authority has declared COVID-19 outbreaks at two Saskatoon Elementary Schools: École Forest Grove School and North Park Wilson School.
Both schools were notified about the outbreak on Sunday, releases from Saskatoon Public Schools said.
Classes at the school will continue as scheduled, except for those classes affected by the outbreak.
École Forest Grove School has had four positive cases of COVID-19, with the most recent on Jan. 17, a release said. One classroom is in isolation.
North Park Wilson School has had three positive cases of COVID-19, with the most recent identified on Sunday. One classroom is isolation.
The school division said it has shared information about the outbreak with students, staff and the school community.
A release says there were additional positive cases at Centennial Collegiate (two cases), and one each at Holliston School and Mount Royal Collegiate.
Since the start of the school year, the division said there have been 195 positive cases in 48 locations — 47 schools and the board office.
