2 rescued from burning garage in Saskatoon's Forest Grove neighbourhood

Firefighters in Saskatoon rescued two people from a burning garage early Saturday morning. Crews were called to a home on 1500 Block Forest Drive in the Forest Grove neighbourhood at around 2 a.m. When they arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from an attached garage.

Firefighters in Saskatoon rescued two people from a burning garage early Saturday morning.

Crews were called to a home on the 1500 block of Forest Drive, in the Forest Grove neighbourhood, around 2 a.m. When they arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from an attached garage.

Firefighters entered and found two people inside. They were safely brought out, and crews conducted a full search to ensure there were no other people or pets inside.

The Saskatoon Fire Department did not indicate whether anyone required medical treatment.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, the department said.
