Man hit in head with glass at Saskatoon bar seriously hurt

A man in his early 20s was rushed to hospital after being hit in the head with a glass tumbler in downtown Saskatoon early Saturday morning.

Suspect flees before police arrive

A man in his early 20s was rushed to hospital after being hit in the head with a glass tumbler in downtown Saskatoon early Saturday morning. 

When officers arrived to a bar in the 400 block of 21st Street after 1 a.m. CST, they learned the man had been stuck by another man at the establishment. 

The victim suffered serious, though non-life threatening injuries to his face. 

Police said the suspect fled the scene before officers got there. 

The reason for the attack is not yet known. Police continue to investigate. 

The suspect is described to be in his early 30s, five-foot-10 in height, with a medium build, and spiked, dark hair.
