Man shot in west-side alley is city's 11th homicide of 2023

A 33-year-old Saskatoon man is the city's 11th homicide victim of the year.

Police are investigating a shooting in the early morning of Dec. 14 that left a 33-year-man dead.

In a news release, police said officers were called to a back alley on the 2700 block of 21st St. West at around 1:30 a.m. CST.

The man died in hospital. Police have contacted his family but are not releasing his name.

Major Crimes and the Gangs and Guns Unit are both investigating.
