Saskatoon police say a 62-year-old man is in custody after a woman's body was found Thursday at a house in the Broadway area.

Police were called to the home on the tree-lined street around 5 p.m. CST. That's where they found the body of 63-year-old Tanice Roberts-Knorr.

Police say the pair knew each other.

Cruisers had the street and alleys blocked off Friday morning.

RCMP arrested the man at Mistusinne, a village about 150 kilometres south of Saskatoon.

Lloyd Montgomery is mayor of Mistusinne. He said that three RCMP cruisers showed up around 5:30 p.m. CST and converged on a cottage.

They stayed on scene for about three hours.

Montgomery said there are about 250 cottages in the resort community.
