Police say Saskatoon teen Brittney Gargol's death a homicide
Police are classifying Brittney Gargol's death Wednesday as a homicide and are hunting for suspects.
Police not saying how teen died
Police are saying the suspicious death of Brittney Gargol is now a homicide.
A passerby discovered the fatally-injured teen in a ditch on the western outskirts of the city early Wednesday morning.
Officers were originally unable to identify her and took to social media for help, posting photos of a pair of distinctive tattoos. That triggered a flood of responses.
Gargol is the city's third homicide of the year.
In a news release, police said they are looking for persons of interest in the case. They are not saying how she died, or whether the fatal assault happened where she had been discovered or whether she had been taken there.
