Trial for alleged fentanyl dealer underway in Saskatoon

The criminal trial for John Olivares began today in the Court of Queen's Bench in Saskatoon.

John Olivares stands trial today in the Court of Queen's Bench in Saskatoon for allegations he dealt fentanyl and cocaine. 

Olivares was arrested last year.

The case was made in short order after a Crime Stoppers tip led to surveillance of Olivares, which soon led to his arrest.

The tip was that Olivares allegedly had drugs and a gun. It took less than one hour from getting the tip to the arrest.

The case continues in Saskatoon Tuesday.
