Pedestrian taken to hospital after vehicle collision in Saskatoon

One man is in hospital after a motor vehicle collision involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian in Saskatoon on Saturday night.

Police say the accident happened at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night

One man is in hospital after a motor vehicle collision involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian in Saskatoon on Saturday night.

Saskatoon Police said the collision happened at around 9:30 p.m. CST on the 100 block of Avenue W South, and a 52-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The man taken to hospital was the pedestrian in the accident.

Traffic was being re-routed in the area as police did an investigation into the crash and traffic restrictions were lifted at around 1 a.m.

Police say there is no update on the pedestrian who was taken to hospital.
