A tornado warning is in effect for the rural municipalities of Arm River and Willner, including Davidson and Girvin, Sask.
According to Environment Canada, a sighting of a tornado was reported near Davidson at about 8:20 p.m. CST.
A severe thunderstorm is moving east to southeast at 50 km/h.
The weather agency warns that extreme hail the size of baseballs or larger are also possible along with damaging winds and intense rainfall.
The agency warns residents to take cover or find shelter immediately if threatening weather approaches.
