Investigation launched into 'concerns raised'
The University of Saskatchewan announced this afternoon that it has put the coach of the Huskie women's volleyball team on leave.
In a news release, the U of S said "concerns were raised" about the coach in mid-January. It said an initial review indicated that further investigation was warranted, and the university is "actively pursuing the matter".
The university did not offer further details.
In the meantime, assistant coaches will be coaching the women's volleyball team, the university said.
The team is hosting the University of Manitoba Bisons in a weekend series.
