Saskatchewan woman knits clothing for premature babies
Lois Fedrau noticed how hard it was to find clothing for premature babies, and decided to make some
A woman from Watrous, Sask. spends her free time crafting caps and booties for premature babies.
Lois Fedrau donates the knitted clothing she makes to the neonatal intensive care unit of Saskatoon's Royal University Hospital.
It is an idea that came out of conversations she had with friends about the scarcity of clothing for premature babies.

"Whenever I see a preemie outfit, I buy it and put it in the bag with the others," said Fedrau, who has been donating clothing to the hospital for years.
"I like knitting. I've always liked knitting and it just went from there," she added.
In order to help with costs, friends have been bringing Fedrau bags of baby wool.
"I just knit," said Fedrau. "I pick it up when I'm sitting down in the evening. It's a nice pastime."
