2 dead after boating accident on Lake Wahnapitae

Two people are dead after a boating accident on a lake northeast of Sudbury.

Police report four people were in a boat on Lake Wahnapitae when the vessel struck an island, just before 1 a.m. on Sunday.

One person is in hospital in critical condition and another is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Any witnesses are asked to contact police.
