Sudbury police release picture of suspect in deadly downtown stabbing

Sudbury police are searching for a man after a deadly stabbing in downtown Sudbury Wednesday afternoon.

Suspect is described as 'a younger, shorter man with a slim build and black hair'

Greater Sudbury Police say a 25-year-old man who was stabbed outside a cash store on Elm Street in downtown Sudbury yesterday has died of his injuries.

Now, police have issued an arrest warrant for second degree murder in connection to his death.

Police say they are looking for Douglas Jeffries, 32. He is described as a  "younger, shorter man with a slim build."

Police ask anyone with information to call 705-675-9171. They say the two men knew one another and they do not believe Jeffries is a public safety risk.
