Northern Ontario adventurer Bill Steer told CBC Sudbury Morning North host Markus Schwabe about the three signs spring has sprung on the back roads:

  • the return of the sand hill cranes
  • waterfalls
  • the smelt run
The first robin sighting is often considered a sign of spring. Adventurer Bill Steer, a.k.a. Backroads Bill, has his own signs of spring from the backroads of Northern Ontario. He shared three of those signs with us.
