CBC Sudbury Sounds of the Season raises thousands for food bank

A total of $8,370 and 177 lbs of food was raised for the Sudbury Food Bank at CBC Sudbury's annual Sounds of the Season event.

Annual Sounds of the Season event brings out community to hear CBC's Morning North live broadcast

A total of $8,370 and 177 lbs of food was collected for the Sudbury Food Bank at CBC Sudbury's annual Sounds of the Season event.

The community event featured music by local artists and singers, including a performance by the Kampana Hand Bells. Held at St. Andrew's Place in downtown Sudbury, dozens of people lined up to fill their bellies with pancakes, and hear stories and interviews about Christmas traditions.

Morning North show host Markus Schwabe welcomed guests to the event, which also included a penny table and gingerbread house building.
