Dog shot by arrow still alive, Sault Ste. Marie OPP investigating

An online fundraising campaign has been started to cover the medical bills of a dog shot by an arrow in Havilland Bay, Ont., Monday morning.

An online fundraising campaign has been started to cover the medical bills of a dog shot by an arrow in Havilland Bay, Ont., on Monday morning. 

Ontario Provincial Police in nearby Sault Ste. Marie are still investigating the attack.

According to the GoFundMe page started for "Remington", the German Shorthaired Pointer "was out for a run" when he returned home with an arrow in his side.

According to the owner's Facebook page, the dog was taken for surgery in Lansing, MI, and is recovering.

There's no further word from police at this time.
