The Producers

Field Good Farms, just outside of Sturgeon Falls between Cache Bay and Verner, is an organic veggie farm owned by Isabelle Spence-Legault and Ryan Spence. You can find some of their produce at the North Bay Farmers' Market on Saturdays.

The Crop

Ronde de Nice zucchini, a petite, round French heirloom variety known for sweet, tender flesh. Spence-Legault said the season for Ronde de Nice begins now and runs all the way to first frost in about mid-September.
