A Sudbury man is facing charges after an alleged assault with bear spray Saturday night on Kathleen Street.

At 11 p.m., Greater Sudbury Police said a fight broke out at a party, and one man was struck.

Police said that man left the scene, then returned a short time later with bear spray.

The accused sprayed two people directly, and cross-contaminated six others, before fleeing on a bicycle.

The victims received minor injuries and were treated at the scene by EMS.

A 20-year-old man is now charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, breach of probation and weapons dangerous.
