Knife-wielding teen girl arrested at gunpoint in Sudbury

A teenage girl was arrested at gunpoint in Sudbury, after police responded to a call about a fight involving several people in which someone had been stabbed.

A teenage girl was arrested at gunpoint in Sudbury on Saturday night, after police responded to a call about a fight involving several people in which someone had been stabbed.

Police arrived at the scene on King Street, near Omar Legault Lane, shortly after 8 p.m.

According to a news release, a 15-year-old female was "waving a knife" when officers arrived. She was arrested at gunpoint.

Police say that there had been an incident at a nearby apartment, which led to a subsequent break-in at that same apartment. A resulting altercation brought some participants out to the street.

One person who was allegedly involved in the incident was taken to hospital with a serious, but non-life threatening injury.

A 15-year-old female faces charges of weapons dangerous and assault with a weapon.

A 17-year-old male is charged with assault causing bodily harm.

A man and two women were each arrested for break and enter with intent to assault. Police say one of the adult women also faces charges of assault and uttering threats.
