Almost 20 years ago, Margia Ferguson took a letter her daughter Jennifer had written to Santa, photocopied it, and put the saved copy in a drawer.

Recently, she found that letter.

"If I remember correctly, [Jennifer] was practicing her cursive writing," she explained. "She often wrote letters, books [and] stories and I just thought it was super cute."

Jennifer says she doesn't remember the letter, but isn't surprised it contains a list asking for a variety of toys, including a doll bed, markers and a new desk.

"I loved reading and writing and doing my homework so I would have wanted a desk," she said. "I liked writing letters and … stories and things."

She says she doesn't remember writing that particular letter, but says it sounds like her ten-year-old self.

The letter also asked for items Jennifer wanted for her family, including a necklace for her mom, a CD player for her dad and CD's for her brother.

"It's just nice to know that I wasn't just thinking about myself," she said.

Margia says she plans to put the letter in Jennifer's baby book of memories.
