North Bay police scour video footage from mall hit-and-run
North Bay police are pouring over video footage hoping to find more information about a pedestrian hit and run at a shopping mall on Monday.
Police say at about 7 p.m., a woman in her 60s was walking in front of the main entrance of a department store.
Police say she was struck by the mirror of a pick-up truck and fell to the ground.
The driver of the truck stopped briefly according to police, and then fled the scene, travelling south through the parking lot to the Fisher Street exit and then proceeding northbound on the bypass toward Trout Lake Road.
A concerned citizen took the victim to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
North Bay police are looking for information on the driver of a light grey older model pick-up with a loud muffler.
People with information are asked to call Crime Stoppers.
