A popular hunting and fishing destination east of Sudbury was ravaged by fire on Tuesday night.

Fire officials say fire consumed the main lodge along with one cabin at Pine Falls Lodge, located between Murray Lake and Washagami Lake in an unorganized township near the Municipality of Markstay Warren.

The fire damage was estimated between $500,000 and $600,000.

The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal was called in by the OPP. The OPP released the scene late last night.

Provincial police said they concluded their investigation and believe the fire was not suspicious.

A crowd-funding campaign has been launched to help the owners, Fred and Kayn Dunham, "rebuild their lives."
