Sarah Boyle, 25, dies in SUV crash on Hwy 129

A St. Joseph Island woman is dead after the car she was in crashed on Highway 129, about 15 km north of Highway 554, Sunday evening.

Officers from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police responded to the single motor vehicle collision at about 5:30 p.m.

Both occupants — neither of whom were wearing seat belts — were ejected from the sports utility vehicle.

The male occupant was flown to Sudbury Regional Hospital with major injuries.  The female occupant of the vehicle, Sarah Boyle, 25, of St. Joseph Island, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police investigation into the crash continues.
