Former Canada Revenue Agency worker facing breach of trust charges
A 45-year-old man and member of the Bacchus Motorcycle Club faces several charges after a 16-month investigation involving the Canada Revenue Agency, Sudbury police report.
A 45-year-old man and member of the Bacchus Motorcycle Club faces several charges after a 16-month investigation involving the Canada Revenue Agency, Sudbury police report.
In 2014, confidential CRA records of local Sudbury residents were unlawfully accessed between November and December in 2014.
The man — a former Canada Revenue Agency employee — has been charged with offences related to:
- Breach of Trust
- Unauthorized Use of Computer
- Committing a Criminal Offence for the Benefit of/in Association with a Criminal Organization (x2)
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
The local residents whose information was accessed are being notified, police said.
