Sudbury drug bust turns up fentanyl patches, cocaine
Sudbury police say a drug bust in the city Wednesday turned up a cache of illegal drugs worth nearly $30,000.

Sudbury police say a drug bust in the city Wednesday turned up a cache of illegal drugs worth nearly $30,000.
Police said during a search of a motel room on Regent Street, officers found drugs including 100.87 grams of cocaine, 74.44 grams of cannabis marijuana and 48 fentanyl painkiller patches.
Police said officers also found a collapsible baton and seized more than $40,000 in cash.
A man from Quebec, 26, and a woman from Sudbury, 20, were arrested and charged with the following:
- Three counts of possession of a controlled substance for purposes of trafficking;
- Possession of property obtained by crime;
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.
The man in this case is scheduled to appear in bail court Thursday.
