At a meeting Tuesday night, city council opted for a plan that includes parking for 100 cars amongst trees. It also has a bus drop-off lane, dedicated bicycle parking, a lookout, and an accessible pathway to the beach.

The area will not be maintained in the winter months, city staff noted.

The redevelopment is estimated to cost the city between $800,000-$900,000.

A conference on design will be held in Sudbury, presented by the Sudbury Design Society. The theme for the conference is Development - from three perspectives. We spoke about design with Sudbury architect Timothy James, one of the conference speakers.
