Sudbury Wolves interim coach hopes to boost players' confidence

The Sudbury Wolves are hoping a different coach will generate more wins for the struggling team. Head Coach Paul Fixter was fired over the weekend. The interim coach will be Associate Coach David Matsos. We heard from Matsos on his new role.
The Sudbury Wolves are hoping a coaching change will bring a few more wins in the second half of the season.

The Wolves fired head coach Paul Fixter over the weekend after the team picked up just seven wins in the first half of the Ontario Hockey League season.

Matsos said his biggest challenge will be helping the players stay positive through the rest of the season.

"This sort of adversity I don't think most of these guys have faces especially in front of so many paying customers," he said. 

"It's hard. Confidence-wise we need to keep them on the top side of it. Make them believe and see that they are working hard."

The Sudbury Wolves have three loses so far to start 2015.  They will host a tough opponent in the Soo Greyhounds on Wednesday.

The Greyhounds are starting off 2015 at the top of the OHL's west division. 

In North Bay, the Battalion are also having a good season. They are in second place in the OHL's central division.
