'Show Us Your Trail Cam Pics' contest starts: two fishing rods and reels on the line
Bear scratching back, deer eating from a bird feeder among dozen of photographs entered
People who own trail cams in northwestern Ontario are sifting through their photos to take part in CBC Thunder Bay's latest giveaway contest, called "Show Us Your Trail Cam Pics". People have been asked to share their favourite images captured by these automatic cameras.
Two winners, who will be picked on the morning of Thursday, September 8, 2016, will take home a brand new rod and reel combination.
The entries started to roll in, just minutes after the contest was launched on September 1.
"I didn't expect the kind of reaction we've had," said Michael Dick, CBC Thunder Bay's executive producer.
"Apparently a lot of people have trail cams in the northwest."
So far, the pictures entered have included a bear rubbing its back on a tree; a deer eating from a bird feeder and a wolf doing its business.
Pictures of wildlife taken with regular cameras or cell phones are also included in the contest, and some beautiful images of loons, grouse and other animals have been entered already.
All the pictures are being archived on the CBC Thunder Bay Facebook page.
Entries into the contest can be messaged on the Facebook page as well.
