Police said boy and his mother were found as direct result of the Amber Alert, which has now been cancelled
A five-year-old boy who had gone missing from Mississauga, Ont., with his mother has been found, police say.
Peel Regional Police said the boy was "in good health" when he was located with his 47-year-old mother outside the Toronto area in the region of Chatham-Kent, approximately 270 kilometres from Mississauga.
Police also said the pair was found as a direct result of the Amber Alert.
The pair had last been seen in the Cawthra Road and Atwater Avenue area between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Peel police said. The boy's school has confirmed he was picked up by his mother at the end of the day.

They also say there are no plans to lay criminal charges at this time, but are investigating the circumstances.
